Lee Chin’s past is calling for him, a past he’s not proud of, regrets it for a host of reasons. He’s learned from it hard life and love lessons, none of which he wants to revisit or repeat, except his past won’t let go.
Jayla, on behalf of her fam, wants to the man responsible for her cousin’s death to pay. She must prove it first, a task harder than she thought, maybe even impossible alone. So, when luck sends Lee to work for Experience Inc, Jayla thinks her prayers have been answered, except Lee is not even a little cooperative and nothing she seems to do can change that.
Until one day he asks her for help, and thus begins their journey to finding the answers she seeks, and the journey to each other.

Sister2Sister and Genesis Press—the largest privately-owned African-American book publishers—joined forces to sponsor their first annual romance writer’s contest. They were seeking all aspiring, unpublished romance writers who wanted a chance to jump-start their publishing career. Ironically, I had just finished my first original manuscript.
I decided, on a whim, to enter the contest. And the rest, as they say, is history.
